The challenge involved designing a system of hydraulic cylinders that could perform multiple complex functions with precision and reliability.
Challenge:
The MK2 V-Mow machine demanded a unique hydraulic setup to support its wing-opening mechanism and multiple mower head assemblies. The requirements included:
2 cylinders to raise & lower the axles, with over-centre valves & bounce control
2 wing-opening cylinders with over-centre valves
23 small cylinders to raise / lower mower heads
2 boom-locking cylinders for road transport safety
